"Heroes" è il titolo di un album di
David Bowie del 1977.
[color=red]Questa versione però è del 1999 (24 Bit Digitally Remastered).
Fa parte
della cosiddetta "trilogia berlinese" assieme a Low e Lodger.
"Heroes" sviluppa il sound di Low in una direzione
maggiormente ottimista.
Dei tre album della trilogia berlinese, è quello che più si merita questo
appellativo, essendo l'unico effettivamente registrato a Berlino.
La “title track” dell'album è uno
dei brani più celebri di tutta la carriera di Bowie, una classica storia d'amore contrastato in cui due amanti si
incontrano sotto il muro di Berlino.
L'album è considerato una delle opere migliori dell'artista, notevole anche
per la partecipazione del chitarrista Robert Fripp che arrivò dagli Stati Uniti per registrare le sue parti in un
giorno soltanto.
Si dice che John Lennon[//i] abbia detto durante la lavorazione del suo album Double Fantasy nel
1980, di avere l'ambizione di "riuscire a fare un disco buono tanto quanto Heroes."

David Bowie (pseudonimo di David Robert Jones, Londra, 8 gennaio 1947) è un
cantante, polistrumentista, attore e compositore britannico.
Attivo dalla metà degli anni sessanta, Bowie ha
attraversato cinque decenni nella musica rock, reinventando nel tempo il suo stile e la sua immagine e creando
personaggi come Ziggy Stardust, Halloween Jack e The Thin White Duke (noto in Italia come il Duca Bianco). Dal folk
acustico all'elettronica, passando attraverso il glam rock, il soul e il krautrock, David Bowie ha lasciato tracce che
hanno influenzato molti artisti.
Come attore, dopo alcune piccole apparizioni ha avuto un buon successo nel 1976
come protagonista del film di fantascienza L'uomo che cadde sulla Terra di Nicholas Roeg.
Tra le sue
interpretazioni più note si ricordano Furyo (Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence) di Nagisa Oshima del 1983, Absolute
Beginners e Labyrinth del 1986 e Basquiat di Julian Schnabel del 1996 nel quale interpreta il ruolo di Andy Warhol.
